Obe two or three links on a web 2.0 should not hurt but theres nothing high Pr about a web 2.0. Just because a web 2.0 has a high home page Pr does not make your page high PR.

Max 2 backlinks is safe for Web 2.0 blogs.

Do not put more than 2 links on each article if you want to play it safe

There isn't a fixed number of links.

Some articles have many links, and that might be very helpful. An article reviewing 10 different software applications would almost certainly include 10 links (a link to the site of each software vendor). Any page that is used as a resource page would no doubt include many links (such as an article about community resources for a city, for instance). Any number of other examples exist.

Sure, probably best to play it safe and not a great idea to throw 30 backlinks in an article used for SEO purposes. But an article with 3 or 4 links instead of the seemingly-commonly-accepted limit of 2 seems fine, and natural. One link in this article, two in that one, three in another, it should all be fine.

      I'm more confused than ever.

      100 words =1 link
      300 words =3 link
      500 words =5 link
      1000 words =10 link

      + a Partridge in a Pear tree.

Who comes up with this crazy shit?
      Whats natural looking?

People build links to sites in all kinds of funky ways. But one thing is for sure, that they don't do when creating links. Is actually count or care how many words of text the link is embedded in.

Surely this formula so many of you work by, is a major footprint to catching you in itself.

The thing with several links is that they squirt less juice into the the linked domain

You can create as many links on the page as you want but obviously keep it within reason.

The less link on a single page the more "Juice" gets passed to that link though

Dont confuse the PR of the home page with the PR of the page you are getting your backlinks from, those are two different things, Google gives PR to individual pages.
