I am from India. I have made an amazon review site, but no sale so far. Can some body suggest me the best guides / tutorials available to learn this business, from practical point of view. I am not interested in general information or tips.

This is how i did it

      Keyword research

Buy a expired high PR site that is relevant as much to your niche as possible

Build amazon site with unique content and reviews. Some tutorials and lots of reviews.

Have at least half the pages without any amazon links on or just sidebar links

I have one outgoing amazon link at the end of each REVIEW page.

I have not been hit by any recent update and position has remained solid.

This formula now generates over $25k of sales via amazon a month.

If you are not ranking after creating all the unique content and/or if none of the pages get a hook into google you will have to get some high quality links or build a private blog network.

IF you think your going to use something accociate goliath pr WPzon builder to create a 500 page site by pulling data from amazon then rank high your living in a dreamworld.

Its hard for me write good content about products I never saw or touched. On the other hand, when times get tough its super easy to dump a website around product X if you don't give a damn about it
BUT, if I'm really passionate about something I could care less about the short term revenue if I see that it gets traction and comments/traffic is increasing.

          Just my 2 cents.

          Thank you!

Get someone else to write about it.

You couldnt care less about revenue ? hehe dont make amazon site then.

I could care less about revenue becuase if I close sales with low numbers the the site is good, as the traffic ramps so will the sales. You idea is flawed.. if i just get 100000 people a day maybe I will sell.

I dont remember mentioning short term revenue anywhere

              Help me understand something.
Lets say we both compete in the same niche, and both have top 10 rankings for the major keywords. Lets assume that both websites generate less than $100 per month but have potential to generate around $1000 after 12-18 months of hard work (great content, guest posts, maybe some infographics, interviews, reviews, etc).
And now lets assume that I am really passionate about the product, I know it inside out, and you outsource all the content overseas.

For how long are you gonna keep pushing? how much would you continue to invest in it given the fact that it earns less than $100 a month for the moment? Between your (outsourced) and mine (passionate, detailed content, with personal touch) which do you think it will attract the most links and traction?

              Just my opinion

                Nice post mate.

I think having the strongest links will attract the most people.

sounds like you are relying on "poeple" linking the content for you, if so I can see why its not possible to get above $100.

if the competitor is above you he has better links simple as that, add another high PR site to yourt network and boost above him.

Google doesnt give a sh1t about passionate content and if you cant get the traffic ( via pushing yourself up with high pr sites ) you are in for a long journey to any real money in my experience

Making money off amazon is no secret or different from other affiliate programs.

    Basically, it goes like this:

    1. Find a niche, you gotta use common sense or look through the categories and trim down.

    2. Search for gold mine keywords, broad keywords with exact search of 4000+ and buying keywords with 1000+ global search from mainly the developed world.

    3. Get your review content written professionally and thoroughly researched, i prefer to outsource this due to time.

    4. Get an amazon theme, there are lots of it... I really love the one Gaz Cooper uses and recommended.

    5. Rank your site for your keywords, targeted keywords are must if you really want to make money.

    6. Promote your site on social media, video, high traffic article directories and press releases.

Different people uses different strategy but that's what i often use and get result from.

Another quick way to make money off amazon is to be on the alert, find and promote new released products. Especially the type of products that you know often generate lots of sales..

The last time Philip Norelco Shaver came out, i was there to catch in on it, put up a quick blog and within a few days i was ranking high for some of the long tail keywords and it did generate me lots of sales...

If a site makes less then $100/month after a whole bunch of strong links (high PR blog posts) and it doesn't show any improvement after 3-4 months then I would leave it as it is and focus on a different niche cause it's obvious that it's just a poor converting niche.

Makes no sense to keep beating a dead horse.
