Google Search Update May Be Underway : September 4, 2013

Hey guys,

I haven't seen much talk about this, but my main site took a massive hit on this update and is now not showing in the serps at all for its main keywords even though it is still indexed.

Does anyone have any idea what this update was all about? Cant seem to find much info on it.

    I'm not convinced this update is relating to Panda. I have several other sites all exactly the same style, but covering different topics. Some are hit, some are not.

    The site that was hit had good unique content on that visitors commented on as being useful etc.

      Completely agree! I am getting very good traffic nowadays. Got a 20% higher traffic from Aug 25, and from Sep another 10-15% higher traffic. Overall, now the traffic is very good.

      They always ran the Panda Update on the 4th of each month. The Panda update runs for 10 days according to what the announced in June and will no longer be announced.

      I'm sure your content is fine. But it definitely seems like this is a 'Panda.' However, it really matters very little which exact update caused the problem. There are many people with decent sites who were hit on September 4th, so unless something obvious is broken, there's no point trying to fix things.

        My rankings were hit on 4th sep, i felt frustrated and quit on that site for four days... Now rankings were normal and traffic was stable... i can't guess what happened
