I'm pretty new to link building and would like to know what other people are doing for link building. I know guest posting is a really good way to link build but I feel more blogs I run into are not open for a guest post, especially the niche market I work for (legal services for foreclosure defense and bankruptcy). I already submit the sites to social bookmark sites but am wondering if there is other ways to go about link building that I may not be aware of. Thanks.

  Don't be fooled. There's nothing in these products you can't find for free on the forums. If anyone knew a great keyword or SEO technique they'd make much more money keeping it a secret and ranking their own sites than they would selling an ebook.

Do Guest Blog post that you continue, Do Blog Commenting, Doc sharing, Video sharing, Pr submission, Article submission for getting genuine and high pr back links.

  Yes like ezine and articlebase but do not stop just here try hub pages, technorati and squidoo too. these are also great sources to create the back links.

Google is coming up with tough challenges with a strong focus on quality and s appropriate links to your site; and a cluster of spammy links from spammy sites with overstuffed anchor text will do you awful whatsoever .
I believe there is no better way than amazing content as good link building strategy and you are already into blog writing, that's good. Yes writing guest posts is an excellent approach to get back connections to your site. While you write guest posts on another blog, generally publishers will permit you to incorporate a bio with a link back to your webpage. Creating awesome Infographic or data visualization is another best idea to generate tons of links. Write press releases, hold a contest, and share more with people whether offline or online will surely give you tons of quality traffic form your targeted audience.

Find the questions people are asking around your niche, create content that REALLY solves the questions (video, articles, presentation) and post them where the questions are being asked, this is the easiest, fastest way to create quality relevant backlinks that wont get erased.

If the company is local for which you are building backlinks then you should try to get backlinks from local directory submission and from local blogs in order to improve your ranking.

  Great idea. I assume when I post the content I just post the link where the content is located. Yes it is a local company trying to rank locally. Links is really the only thing we lack other than some web designing that won't be invested in. Thanks.

I will prefer natural backlinks and ask others don't engage yourself on link excahnge schemes or purchasing paid backlinks, because in this way you will easily hit by Google updates.

There are tons of different backlinking methods you can use. One very good resource to learn about it is this website: Link Building Tactics - The Complete List.

I suggest you also read a Untapped Authority Backlinks ebook by Faraaz. It will help you get more powerful backlinks that can outrank your competitors. Useful staff. Here is a short review about it.
