    First, create a page in Google+. Then start uploading nice and interesting stuff and let other people like it (you can invite a few of your friend for a start!). When you have a lot of members, ADD your website in your page (check settings!) and this way you could get a few followers... Well, I don't think this will be helpful for SERP, but for some extra TARGETTED followers... it's a good idea!

    There is no assurity of getting higher SERPs by getting google+ likes.

    well upload your stuff and share publicly and try to add more friends in your circle and like other people stuff then it will definitely increase your likes on Google++.

    Add your Google+ profile link in your blog and social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and etc. It's also helpful to engage in other people's content and add a +1 for those you find helpful or important. Share quality content within your extended circles in Google+. It can also help if you invite people in other social media sites to join Google+.
