Domain Name Selection: dash or .org

I have a 2 part question pertaining to selecting a domain name. The company in question is in the internet marketing niche.

1. Strictly speaking for the purpose of gaining beneficial EMD (Exact Match Domain) juice, which I know is a debated topic but I think the general consensus is that it does help in rankings at least a little bit, what do you think is a better choice for a domain name?

1. examplekeyword-examplekeyword.com (with a dash), or
2. examplekeywordexamplekeyword.org (with no dash)

2. Now for the purpose of branding, which do you think is a better choice? I know that people say that people often forget the dash and it's tough to say the domain name to someone, but people also say that people forget that a domain is .org too.

Thanks

If you are branding, just find away to get a .com, imo.

Prefer .com is the best issue. Not available than check for .net....

Thanks for the suggestions. Just want to make another point. Since I am in the competitive internet marketing niche, and I am just a very small player in it, I cannot compete with the SEO and link building campaigns that the big players do, so I can use any help I can get with the Exact Match Domain. That is why I was thinking of using that instead of a brand name. What do you think of that? Knowing that which one would you go with?

Both would work. Another thing to consider is a partial match like www.yourkeyworddomination.com or whatever noun/verb/adverb/adjective applies to your website. I've seen it work very well for my friend who has gone from Not in Top 100 to 29 for a keyword with 60,000 searches/month worth $125+ per click. Branding is a great idea both for SEO reasons and for when you start to grow beyond just search traffic. Good luck!

    .com domain is top priority.
but consider .com domaing without any dots, dashes ect. I don't say they are bad to use in google eyes but users like simple and short names.

.com should be a top choice as this is so common that if you just omit it in your domain name (in case you tell someone just the name) they will automatically assume it .com.
