I recently came across a powerful .fr expired domain but I'm having trouble registering it on namecheap. Has anyone who's not from France registered a legit .fr domain and if so, how do you do it?

    I'm pretty sure you have to be a citizen.... Been trying to find a workaround myself but no luck

      I thought so too at first, but I came across this site https://www.eurodns.com/internationa...-registration/ which says that ".FR is the country code domain for France. It is operated by the French registry AFNIC and can be registered by European entities or individuals for a minimum one year period. EuroDNS is pleased to offer a point of contact for this domain." and "Any European individual can register a .FR domain name

      Note:the .FR registry defines Europe as the EC countries plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland."

      I keep getting AFNIC errors at the checkout stage though.
