What's the fastest / best way to undiversify my backlink profile?

https://ahrefs.com/site-explorer/ove...titanfence.com

I believe that is hurting my sites rankings a lot and not sure the best way to go about undiversifying it...Obviously I don't want to blow out a bunch of crappy links that might hurt it worse. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I would recommend not including your domain here when you ask questions.

The key though is to change up the anchor text when you purchase links from services or networks. Dont use the same anchor text each time and buy services sometimes for non optimized keywords.

FranksToys - Good point, I was just trying to show the back link profile. I guess I could have just screenshot it.

Big Kahuna - Yes, Local. Thanks I am working on the news section now. I think I have a good idea on what anchor text I should use, I just don't know where to use it or where to get links that make sense. I'm having a little trouble finding local forums that make sense.

I'd definitely avoid using forums for link building.

Even if you were able to find a fence-related forum, a link wouldn't do anything for you.

And a bunch of links from an unrelated forum is only going to hurt your site.

Instead, look to build quality links from related sites. It takes A LOT more work than posting on a forum...but it also works A LOT better. So the trade off is well worth it

That's because true local business use YP, newspapers, fliers, radio, etc.
Not worrying about any backlink profile...

You are a local business right? Targeting cities in Texas? If that's the case you would want some backlinks with anchor text like: Dallas fence companies, Austin fence builders, wood fences in Dallas.... You get the idea. Use the cities that you service in more of your backlinks. Also, you have a brand.... Get more links with you brand "Titan Fence".

p.s. Under your news section I would get rid of all the Latin gibberish at the bottom of the page and replace that Istockphoto image with some work that you have actually done...

Hey OP don't just think "links" think traffic and referrals. Get links from people and businesses you already deal with. What about landscaping companies? What about home builders? What about real estate investors/flippers? Surely you are working them for referrals offline so why not strike a deal online?

Backlinko - Good point. Thanks. I'll look for some more related sites / businesses.
SEODollz - Good point. I had just been focused on fixing this undiversified issue and lost sight of the bigger picture. Thanks!
paulgl - True, we do some of that, but I still think there are a lot of local people that would google the keyword I want to rank for and we are not coming up anywhere close for it. I was thinking that our undiversified backlink profile, was hurting our ranking so I have been on a quest to fix it....
