Does my fb ad really land on my tab page?

I have a small campaign running on fb for one of my pages. I want the ad to go directly to a tab page and not the timeline. In setting up the ads there is a "landing view" option so I chose the page tab for that.

After two days of running the ads the results are lots of likes but no hops, so I started digging a bit. I followed the destination link in the Advertising Report and guess what? I end up on the timeline.

Is anyone having the same issue with advertising to fb tab pages? Is it just the advertising report stating the timeline as destination page or do the ads really go to the timeline? How can I be sure of the ad going to the tab page?

      Quite a few possibilities.

      Do the settings force a person to first visit your timeline? That is,
      they cannot view anything without first going to your timeline as sort
      of a first page.

      Does FB require ads to go to the timeline, no matter what? That is,
      tabs are forbidden?

      Of course there is a perfect solution: Rock your timeline, baby!

        Thanks Paul, but tabs are by no means forbidden. Anyway I can answer my own question now: in the Insights for the page there is an option "visits" and when you click on it there is a graph showing the number of visits for the timeline and the tabs on the page. I had 480 tab visits and few timeline visits so I can safely assume that the ad does indeed go to the tab and not the timeline.
