Domain name and TLD

What are the better choices for domain names and TLD's and is there any difference at all?

For example is it better to register www.pet-shop|com or www.petshop|com And if you would choose something besides .com TLD would it be .net or .org?

.com is always Your best bet by far and i Would definitely go with Your 2nd domain name without the slash in the Url.

In order .com first. then .net and then .org

Personally I wouldn't buy any domain name with any weird characters in it but to each their own keep it simple.
