i have a forum with 4k members and a shed load of posts. My problem is the poor SEO. I mean really really poor.

I am lucky enough to have a big page (1mill) Facebook so this is currently how the site is fueled with traffic.

I want to work out why my Google traffic is so poor.

In my WMT I am seeing a lot of soft crawl errors and these are increasing every day.

When I clicked on one of the errors and clicked fetch as google, it came up with the attached info.

Why is it searching for 3 versions of the page and why do 2 of these have the wrong URL?

The last two URLs don't make any sense, example:

    Code:
    http://domain.com/http://domain/article-here/

Yeah I know so why is WMT trying to search for them? Where is it getting those URLS from?

From people (or bots) typing in the wrong URL. It's almost impossible to plan for every 404 possibility. I would venture a guess that this is not your biggest pressing issue.

But there are like 65 errors all the same. What else could the reason be for my crap search traffic?

    You have duplicate pages/urls like:
    is the same as...
"http://www.relationshipsurgery.com/group/all" (this is the link attached to your logo which is sitewide)

You have too many ad units on your content pages which PANDA does not like (search Google Panda update)

A great deal of your content isn't indexed which shows the site lacks authority/trust or the internal structure is a nightmare and your site can't be crawled properly as a result.

There are many problems which will require an SEO professional to diagnose and resolve.
