I would like to know what is the best strategy for backlinks, and to rank a website in the first page of google .

    I would say copy what your competitors are doing. If they are ranking well, then most likely they are doing the right thing (both links and content wise).

      Those days you can say copy what your competitors are doing and it will be okay but what if your competitors are just quarter to tank, will you follow their link building path too? I guess not, it's more about learning what works and what tanks a site and do the right thing.

    You question is what SEO is mostly about.

    Replicating your competitors' strategies is one of the way you might take. However, you still need to be critical enough to tell if a link is a good or a bad one. To be see the quality of link, you need to educate yourself about SEO.

    I concur with Linkassistant. You question might be suggesting you're not much into SEO now, so you should really educate yourself about the fundamentals. Other than taking the best from your competitors (see, i didn't say copying), the most basic thing is to create great content and promote the hell out of it in social media. Links will follow.

    There is no single activity which can help you to achieve higher ranking in Google. You have to focus on all the factors which are important for ranking as well as traffic. From sharing content to on page optimization, all are equally important.

      Use high quality content that brings traffic to your site. Relevant guest posting is one of the best ways to get some high-class backlinks. If you have enough budget then you can use a relevant and high quality blog network also.

      It's better to make a weekly plan and follow it in a slow but steady manner. Put your time and energy to get 2-3 powerful backlinks instead of getting 100 junk links. Always remember one thing that getting a good backlink takes time and real effort.

    It is not much easy to get first page on Google. There is lots of factors involves in it.
    According to my experience getting high quality backlinks from high authority sites is the pretty good way to get backlinks.

    Use original quality content on your money site
    .
    Build 5-10 buffer sites using properties like blogger.com, wordpress, squidoo, ezinearticles etc. Add quality content on these buffer sites. Add a link back to your money site from the buffer site ( wary the anchor text).

    Build backlinks to the buffer sites only. This way you will have full control without adversely impacting your money site.

    This strategy will take some extra time and effort but will give you much better results in the long run.

Great quality content that is valuable to the readers, avoid dup content, diversify your keywords, and build quality backlinks from different authority domains. It’s also ideal to have your own case study to test what techniques work for you and what’s not. Most people have different strategies but still they’re able to succeed. By doing your own experiment, you’ll be learning a lot along the way.
