Google analytics still worth using

I have been using google analytics since I started doing the internet thing but lately I am wondering if something is better. I know I get a ton of free information but when it comes to keywords lately they are useless. Everyday I look at my stats and there are no keywords listed anymore all I ever see is not provided or any of 5 other messages saying basically the same thing. If I can see what keywords people are using to get to my sites pages how can I plan out the best articles and keywords for people to find my site. I have used click tale for a while also but I can't get a daily list of keywords just what keywords have been used. Same for Bing webmaster tools which tells me keywords used but not when. Is there another place to go to get what I want. I also see that google is now showing a premium version of analytics and haven't looked into it yet but there will probably be a fee involved.     Analytics is still worth using just for traffic estimates and other useful information but as for keywords... people are still figuring out alternatives I suppose.

    I haven't given it much thought myself I must admit because I haven't really needed to plan keywords recently.

    Hi Mark!

    May I ask what are you specifically looking for in a tool? If you are looking for something like in depth reporting of your website, there is Google Webmaster tools. But if you want a tool for traffic analysis, you may use another tool for that like Affilorama's Affilotools OR Majestic SEO.

    These tools provide you with good traffic analysis that you can very well utilize for your linkbuilding/SEO campaign.

      Hi Affilorama portal- AKA Mark L, I use google analytics for a lot of stuff but I like to know what keywords people use to find my site so I can decide if I want to keep using the same ones or different ones based on there bounce rate among other things.

    How much traffic does your site get?

    A few hits a day makes analytics completely useless other than seeing you got a "few hits a day"

    The more traffic the more things open up. My "not provided" percent is about 75% because this site gets a good volume of traffic from many different sources. GA provides some keyword data at this level.

    A crappy product or service by people that disappear from the forum for a long period of time to make it look like they were working on something so when they come back you will want to click on their crappy product or service link
