Proxies needed for Long Tail Pro?

I need a good keyword tool to find keywords and check their competitiveness.

Long Tail Pro looks to be a favorite besides MS. But it doesn't include proxies. If I am only using this to find keywords for my own site posts (one site), do I really need proxies? Or is that only for multiple site/pro use?

I use keyword planner without issue, so I guess there wouldn't be a problem with LTP then.

Well Market Samurai has it's own proxies, as I understand it.

And yes Google Keyword Planner still is useful. Just doesn't offer as many options. And it doesn't rank competitiveness does it?

I tried the free wordtracker, but a lot of the less popular keywords dont even show up in that.

If you use HMA VPN, that should rectify the proxy issue with Longtail Pro.

Okay. Then HMA or other free options can work too? Good to know.

I've used proxies from proxy-hub . com and buyproxies . org . They provide good private and semi private proxies that you can use for scraping lots of keywords using a keyword tool or scrapebox.

Honestly I think it depends how heavily you will be using LTP - I only use it every so often and I use it without proxies. I have occasionally been temporarily blocked by Google (you get a captcha when running queries) but then it goes away.

Thanks for the replies. If it's the case that I don't really need proxies just for checking keywords for articles, that's good. Then the only issue I have, comparing to MS, is that you have to pay monthly for the keyword comp feature. I dont like monthly financial obligations. I'd much rather pay once. And MS (with discounts that can be found) aint much more and includes some element of keyword comp.

HMA VPN is a paid tool. But it's extremely cheap. Obviously yes HMA does provide free proxies as well.

But normally I don't use proxies for LTP. There is just a slightly inconvenient captcha that you get from Google every so often while using it. Other than that it's no big deal.
