Does anyone have experience in ranking clients' sites by spending their money on buying high PR domains, and building a network of sites, blogs etc...

Or any directions I may be pointed in..?

Thanks

You can try looking for domains on GoDaddy expired domains auction - auctions.godaddy.com
You can also buy domains at DigitalPoint forums (but be careful there - lots of crap there, do your research).
There are other many other sites where you can buy domains but I only bought 4-5 from DigitalPoint forum.

Learn how evaluate domains before going on to the buying spree.

It becomes quite expensive for the client when you buy domains and solely dedicate it to them. A strong PR4 can easily cost $200,-, you need your margin so 1 PR4 link would then cost him let's say $350-$400,-, if he could share the site with 4 or 5 people he could have 5 of such links for that price.

I build high pr networks for individual clients.

Your clients should be paying you between $600-2600 a month at least, depending on the competition.

The first 3-4 months i drop all the money into their own private network. Quality PR4-5s. After that, hello profit.

Oh, and my free video guide on how to do this is here (shameless plug)

Its highly doable and I do it myself also. It does not have to be as expensive as Nik0 is saying. Private networks if they are not going to have lots of links do need not be as strong as a link service provider would want them to be because the OBL is lower. Thats pretty easy to see when you consider the numbers.

Public rental network might have 20+ external links on a page. A private custom network might have 5 therefore each links is divided up 4 times less. You could buy a domain half as strong as a good PR4 domain and end up with more juice due to lower OBl.

What would be the minimum OBL you recommend so as not to leave a footprint? 5+? 3? I know just one link might be suspicious.

Not sure of the question. One outbound link isn't going to look suspicious. Also, the standard max number of outbound links that you want to send to any given site is 3, the link juice dies considerably after that. I don't think having a single outbound link is going to signal any red flags, your on a high PR site for a reason, google already trusts it

If your talking about links to your money site, you want to diversify the quality of the links. Links from your high PR blog sites should have exact keyword match, then you will want to randomize the remaining strength of the incoming links and only use exact match anchor text 10%-15% of the time. Hope this helps

I don't really get what you want to know other than saying YES to your question.

It works wonders and truly expensive.

If you get few good clients who pay good money, then it's a good way to do quality seo with your own high PR network.

Yes, it's the best longterm approach to SEO, and WAY better when the client pays for it. Like someone said above, make sure you buy spam free domains that haven't been deindexed. Then it's just a matter of setting up relevant content and linking to your client's site.
