How Does Google Handle Case Changes in Folder Names

I'm wondering if making a change in case will have an effect on a page's Google ranking.

For example, what if I have a well ranking page at:

www.mysite.com/onlinetools

...and then I make this change to the folder:

www.mysite.com/OnlineTools

Will this matter to Google at all? What do you think? Different folks seem to have different opinions on this.

It may take an update or two for the pagerank to show again. You can also do a permanent redirect from the old to the new, and it should work well for you.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

I think G is going to treat it as a whole new URL. You would have to do a 301 redirect to preserve the pageranks and links.
