I need some advice here...

I know I'm new to the forum but I'd like to see if I'm missing out on money here. So basically I have 11,000 visits and 68,000 page views a month. I currently run AdSense and amazon aff on my site. I made $292 last month, I feel like I should be making more off ads. Any advice here is much appreciated.

    Looks like i answered this question today.

    Anyway, page views only signifies the amount of visit a site has and does not necessarily means the visitor clicked on any ads or link in the site. Just visiting your site consistently increases your page views.

    11,000 unique visits is a lot if they are targeted visitors and your offer or mode of monetization is appealing and converts. In most cases, you need to tweak your site to know exactly what shouldn't be or should be on your site if you want to get the best out of your traffic.

    And having amazon and adsense altogether is a big distractions. Most certainly, your visitors will be split on the two programs you are running. I think you should begin with the one that makes the most money and give it an upperhand by making the ads or affiliate links with images more pronounced.

    For both business to be profitable you need targeted traffic.

    Adsense - You need to rank for keywords with good CPC and also use strategic ads in the right places usually on the top center, left hand and middle of your site. I always go with TEXT ads.

    Amazon - Pick keywords highly related to your products, write a good review content for them and rank on the first page of Google..

    This is just a broad tips since we don't know your niche, source of traffic, site and how it was built.

        Yes, you might have to experiment with it.

        Other option is to give amazon less priority and have only one link on a page.
        Still on amazon, have you tried using amazon Buy Button on your site, it seems to draw lots of attention since amazon is top brand that everyone knows and trust.

        Also, i don't know what your landing page and adsense ads looks like.

        Ads, if positioned well, wide ad sizes can increase your earnings significantly. The sizes we've found to be the most effective are the 336x280 Large Rectangle, the 300x250 Medium Rectangle, the 728x90 Leaderboard, and the 160x600 Wide Skyscraper. Keep in mind that while these ad sizes typically perform well, you should use the size that best complements your pages.

      Last I checked BSA was extremely limited on niches, mostly web design traffic.

        Maybe try and develop your own product? I had this problem with a site once, so made my ow products and made way more. Just give your visitors exactly what they are looking for. Often clicking on ads doesn't interest them.
