Hi, I have been learning seo, I read books, watched videos and read articles it seems like everything you read it different. When it comes to link building everybody contradicts each other, I need some help with understanding seo I think I may have a case of information overload. Also when I get a better understanding I have £300 to spend on software if I need it for link building or is it better spent on something else.

      I have to ask,
What on earth can a software teach you about SEO?
It's like saying being able to use a washing machine, will teach you how to dry clean a silk wedding dress.

Put your head in that washing machine and de-scramble the SEO software road you seem to be heading down already. Those fancy snake oil sales pages have infected your mind already. Only Lemmings follow bright lights and shiny buttons.

You need links from relevant sites that are in your niche. The higher the PR of the site the better. If the site has a lot of traffic and does well through social media then that can bring you a lot of traffic too.

People like to guest blog these days to build links. It is free from a monetary point of view but you do have to put an article together.

For guest blogging the link below is a good place to start:

    Hey Dude,
Learning is not a matter, but you need to differentiate Correct SEO Methods(Whitehat) and Bad SEO Methods(Blackhat).

Then you will start to find relevancy of the Strategies said by people who follow Whitehat is relevant to each other and same for Blackhat strategies.

My opinion is you don't need any software to do SEO. Because most of the automated software is created to build fake backlinks or drive bot traffic. However, I cannot say every software or tool is created for that purpose or ignore all the software.

You do need Software or systems to analyze your competition and analyze your rankings etc.

If you're using WordPress platform for your websites, I suggest you to use SEO Advicer plugin to get SEO Actions right in your WP dashboard. This is my 1st plugin and I add SEO Advices regularly.

Other replies also contained so many useful facts, hope you follow those replies too.

    Best Wishes,
    Shyam Chathuranga.
