Let's say you have a pr 8 domain, and want to convert it into a full functional website. Does the PR is an advantage in terms of SEO or not?

It is a small piece to a much larger puzzle my friend. To tell whether or not it is a advantage would depend on the efficiency of the other pieces.

    Some Big Picture Pieces
    Onsite SEO
    Off Sites SEO

Don't get caught up on the small things and stay focus on the overall picture.

If you do use this information, it will help

Yes, the PR will help. If it wasn't a spammed domain, has some age, and a lot of branded links, you can re-purpose the site as well as the old brand to pretty much instantly rank for whatever you want.

I wish this was as simpale as you make it sound KyGunator
I also wish it was as effective as it was when Google first started using PR as a determining factor

But wishing aside I recommend focusing on a good onsite setup a good back linking portfolio

If it is actually a PR 8 page, which can be more or less verified by the quality of the back link profile, then yes that is a tremendous asset to have.

PR hasn't been updated for almost a year as far as I know, so today's PR might be much lower.

If it's a legitimate PR8 site then yes sure by all means convert it into a normal site and yes you will have an advantage in rankings. If it's real PR8 means that it has super strong backlinking profile, which means you will be able to rank it fast for medium and easy searches.

if it is a PR 8 domain,it should have many high quality links pointing to it to warrant that PR. Otherwise, that PR will probably fall within the next update.

Although PR is a small part of the puzzle, if you can get your hands on a PR a domain which is genuine, you can definitely use it to rank many money websites.

    Hope this helps.

If this "PR8" is just a domain and is not a fully functional website already, I'm pretty sure it's not a PR8 lol

    Nobody just "scraps" PR8 domains.

A legit PR8 domain would sell for tens of thousands of dollars on the open market.

What's scary is someone selling links asking If a PR8 is any good.

I'm sure the majority of people buying SEO don't have a clue what they want (cough - need), that's part of the reason people get ripped off. Look at this forum thread, a guy selling links asking If a PR8 is any good. What could possibly go wrong buying that gig, lol?

An actual PR 8 domain can have an advantage in terms of seo since it's an authority site.
