PRESS RELEASE submissions

I need to get some press releases published, but I need a service that will give me a lot of backlinks. Webwire let's you pick 5 anchor texts and then it redistributes the press release with them.

I never used PRWeb but I heard they're pretty solid.

I usually get some offers fro PressReleasePoint dot com to publish my press releases but I'm not sure how legit they are.

What press release services do you use and/or recommend?

Thanks.

I believe most of the free press release websites are allowed to submit your posts then you will get legitimate back links to your website. Please check it.

Fleki, don't waste your money if you're doing press releases for the links. The value you get out of them is almost nil

If truly increasing your ranking is what you grave for then press release submission will barely deliver on promise.

It's not going to be different from submitting articles to an article distribution site.

They only get your content on a ton of worthless site, that is all but no true value is added because every new publication gets on a new page as well as on sites with no traffic.

If you have something worthy of talking about then picking the top traffic press release sites should be all you do.

I subscribe to a few, mainly to get lots of content on the web for reputation management clients, but some of them REALLY help with ranking - I had one site stuck at the bottom of page 2, and one press release distributed over multiple networks shot it up to the top of page 1 (below the client's page and ABOVE his Wikipedia page!) and six months later it's still there!

Different PR services offer different results, but since you're just looking for backlinks here, the three that work best are SBWire.com, Newswire.net (NOT PRNewswire - lots of people confuse the two), and PRLog Premium.

Pricewise, SBWire.com is the best deal by far, you get 30 releases/month for $49/month or 150 releases/month for $99/month. With SBWire and Newswire you can optimize, add images and YouTube videos, enter meta keywords, etc. PRLog premium doesn't do any of that; however, their link juice is impressive, so cough up the $40/release or whatever the current price is.

Save your money on PRWeb, it's a ripoff, Google has been ignoring their links since 2005 which has been repeatedly confirmed by Matt Cutts to this day. I think the PRWeb slap is the reason why so many newswires get a bad rap when it comes to SEO.

Don't bother unless it is a quality service like PR web. Only include link to brand.

A lot of contradicting information here...

Webwire gives me the "clippings" report which is a bunch of backlinks that appear to be on other websites. However, the url indicates that they're hosted somewhere else and not on those websites. For example, the press release will show up on some business news website, but the URL is showing a different domain. Also, when I hit "home" I end up on the URL for that business website and I'm unable to find my press release on that website. This is with their basic service of $25. On google, it bumped me up hard (7-8 spots up, on several keywords) but im slowly going down now. This is for a few low search but very competitive keywords.

I'm thinking about paying for their distribution services, but I'm afraid that I will get the same types of backlinks that they provided on their "clipping" report.
