If the articles are all over the net, and exactly the same words, you could get penalised by the search engines. If you are putting them on multiple article directories it's best to "spin" the articles a little bit for each submission, then you won't get penalised so much.

Also I've found submitting to one or two quality sites (i.e. ezine) returns the same, or even better traffic, as opposed to a shotgun approach to 'easy to submit to' directories.

You can still get away with it but not very helpful in terms of google ranking. You will still get traffic from those sites.

Just my opinion, but 'spinning' articles only promotes more garbage on the web, and does little by way of using proper SEO techniques. I don't know why you would want to post the same article all over the web, only the original is needed.

Submitting it to EZA after it's been 'indexed' on your site is a good practice, as is getting your article 'syndicated' on existing sites that need content, and will allow (and respect) your credit link back to your site.

Personally, I would concentrate on writing quality content, by all means focus those articles around specific 'keywords or phrases' but as far as regurgitating them all over the internet, is virtually pointless!

If anything, repurpose the content into video, PLR, or audio, you'll likely get a much better response from those efforts.

    Good luck.

  • Syndicating your articles to multiple directories is fine. Even better, syndicate directly to other sites in the same niche as yours.

Here is a good enough place to start:

After that, do a search on the forum for Alexa Smith. Find all her posts about articles, syndication, guest posts, ect. Read them all 10 times. This will take you a few days. Then do what she says.

You can't go wrong following the invaluable tips she provides about article syndication.

    Good luck.

Absolutely fine so long as it is within the article directories TOS. A few want unique articles like the cocky Buzzle.

Michael is right on. Alexa Smith has some great info on syndication you may find helpful if you do a search here on WF.

This is called syndication and news outlets do it all day every day. How many times have you seen the same news article syndicated across many sites on the web. Every day, right?!

It's perfectly fine. Just make sure that the first site the article is placed on and indexed on is the one you want given most authority for that article.

I wouldn't waste much time doing this personally.

Plenty of people do it and it works for them but Google can render your entire site useless at any point.

Not a risk worth taking in my opinion.

Huh? I don't get this. Why will render your site useless for syndicating content? That would mean many news sites would be rendered useless.

You should write a long article for your blog around 1000 – 3000 words with many details because blog readers like long articles. This is something I could discover after wasting my time with short blog posts for years.

Now, after writing and publishing your long blog post, go back to your article and submit to EzineArtices (first of all) a shorter version of this article, let’s say 800 words; only the beginning of this article.

Then, submit the same article to GoArticles, but make a few modifications and submit the end of your long article to this article directory.

You can make similar variations and submit the same article to many different article directories by modifying the position of a few paragraphs.

However, I believe that instead of wasting your time with this matter you should write new interesting posts, and submit more new articles to EZA after publishing them at your blog.

    It's perfectly fine.
Put it on your blog first and then submit to Ezine Articles.
Once approved submit to a few other directories such as Go and ArticlesBase.

No its not good posting same article on multiple side, it will be treated as duplicate content by search engines.

If the article belongs to you, then there is nothing to worry about. People submit their own articles to many articles directories for building fast backlinks and traffic purpose, and even if this is wrong, you won't get affected the directory site might.
