Hey folks,

Does anyone have any tips for getting indexed in Yahoo! please?

I know it's kind of a silly questions.

One of my sites have been indexed in Google and MSN for a while now but not in Yahoo!

Robots.txt file does not deny them.
Submitted link and feed to Yahoo Site Explorer
Site Explorer shows links for site but no indexed pages

Just thought I'd post in case someone has had this problem before.

Cheers!

P.S. I've just resubmitted the sitemap, it's funny how things pop into your head as soon as you ask for help lol.

Yahoo likes internal search engine optimization factors!

Yahoo likes websites that are very relevant for the keywords and keyword phrases that are defined and/or targeted for search engine traffic.
(Optimized internal anchor text links also help.)

It is not always what you do, it is how you do it...

I have many websites that are 1st place and top 10 at Yahoo that do not even have sitemaps. They are just optimized very well internally and I posted a few quality back links on other relevant websites.

If you have any further questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to post them.

I agree with you here. Relevant for the keywords and keyword phrases are targeted in search engine. More quality back links can help you a lot too. The more the better for me.

Whenever I have a new website I want indexed I just upload a video to 'video sharing sites' like YouTube, DailyMotion, and Metacafe. Make sure you include your URL in the description. Then copy the video link into Google's addurl page. Yahoo will display these results automatically.

I usually get indexed within 24-48 hours.

      I hope that helps!

YOu could always pay to be indexed in Yahoo by their paid inclusion program,[just do a search for yahoo paid inclusion] . This would only make sense though if you are convinced that Yahoo traffic will likely convert. Otherwise I would focus on building links and making sure your site is well optimized (Yahoo tends to like well optimized sites). Patience is also a factor as it can take time to get indexed here. Good luck.

You don´t have to index a URL manually to any search engine.Just go to a blog in your niche, make a good comment on a blog post and link back to your site.
