Can you get 800-1000 visitors on your website within 3-4 months of its creation?

Is it possible to get 800-1000 visitors on your website within 3-4 months of its creation? My clients are looking for that kind of traffic proliferation within 3-4 months and I simply cannot promise them this. Well, what kind of SEO would you really need for this kind of traffic? For example if the niche is Baby Toys, how much traffic will both Amazon as well Adsense achieve? I know the question is subjective, and you may talk about how competitive the market is. But Baby Toys is just an example. You get the drift...

Also if it is achievable what would be the cost of SEOing it so aggressively?

It all comes down to the competition in the niche, how much content your create and get published. If it's a new domain, it will have no authority, so it may take time to gain authority and to rank well.

My newest niche site is in a fairly easy niche, all product reviews are on page 1 of Google and driving traffic. The domain has authority of around 20, it's 3 months old and getting 100-130 unique visitors a day.

Saying that, it only has 18 reviews so far with very little link building.

Without knowing what keywords they are targeting, there is no way of answering this question.
Some markets don't have the volume of search to deliver that traffic, some do.

Both you and your client seem equally clueless about it all anyway. Measuring success in traffic volume is nonsense.

Well said, and I like how you put it lol

Different markets have different competition levels, different earning per client etc. You just cannot generalize.

For example, a legal website can technically make a lot of money if it gets 2000 targeted visitors. A dog store, not so much.

A client once told me he has a budget of $500 monthly and wanted 2000 visitors daily.

I guess they really have no idea how SEO is supposed to work

Absolutely. I run a hyper-local sports blog and during the season, it sees upwards of 25000 pageviews per month. Site went into production in June. It went live in August. By September, it was seeing upwards of 1000 pageviews PER DAY. It's monetized differently but if you come up with the right idea and target the right audience, yes, traffic levels like this are possible.

      Of course.

Within 6 months I was able to achieve a consistent 60,000 visitors per month on a website. And had a 30,0000 visitor day.

Anything is possible. It just takes a lot of hard work. And a lot of content!

Thanks for sharing your experience and showing a positive direction. I specifically wanted to know about the cost of such aggressive SEOing provided one has taken care of the niche, content and audience. Does it vary with the niche and content and the result that one wants to achieve?

I do zero SEO on it. Virtually all of my traffic is social media and direct type-in.

Yes, it is possible with right strategy and keywords.

I am doing content marketing for a Gaming news site (targeting google news). This site is 4 months old and it gets more than 3,000 visitors everyday by posting 6-10 news contents everyday. There were few news which got over 50,000+ hits. Bottom line, it all depends on your "niche" and "target keywords". A little plus or minus can add a lot of difference in keywords.

Once again just depends on the niche and keywords.

To answer the original question, of course you can get 1000 visitors within 4 months. The question is definitely more one of how targeted are your visitors?

This is entirely possible and feasible, even within 1 month. But it's all about how you approach it.

Social networking is a great way to boost traffic and keep it continually flowing right out of the gate. The big question is how should you plan to make this a reality, and are you willing to put in the work to actually make it a reality.

1- Make site for people not for yourself

3- Use SEO + SMO for paid search you can use PPC
4- Be frequent on social media site - twitter, linkedin ,facebook, google plus, printerest. youtube etc
5- Connect niche target people through blog ,newslatter , offer attractive offers
6- Use less and some tough keywords . as easy keywords will bring your site on first page within few month and tough keyword will help to boost traffic.

It's definitely possible, and depending on the niche could be relatively easy. I wouldn't recommend guaranteeing results with an SEO service though because you could end up having to eat your hat!

It depends on the competition. I have a site that's getting 800-1000 traffic during its 4-6 months with very little seo. I'd like to believe that low niche competition and on-page seo made that possible.

Yes it is easily achievable even without relying on search engines.
You can do this by adding content on the website on a regular basis. But you make sure that for each post you ad, you bookmark it on the following web 2.0 properties:
      1. Stumbleupon.com
      2.Reddit.com

And other bigs ones out there. I usually submit to those two and like 8 more and this can instantly bring you close to 150 visitors depending on the subject of your post.

For baby toys, submitting each post to pinterest would be great. Also add to twitter (You need sub followers for these).

Doing this could also lead to indexation by search engines, plus act as back links, which will add and extra visitors to you website.

I have one site on which I have done only that . withing two months, it had gotten a PR of 2 and 4000 unique visitors per month. It is now 9 months old with 25 posts, I stopped working on it 4 months ago but it still averages around 5500 visitors per month.

There's a lot of ways to get traffic, the question is how good will the qualify of that traffic be? You can join facebook groups and find people to private message. You can build a twitter following by following people who have that interest. You can do all sorts of things, but they key is to find targeted traffic. Depending on the subject, you may even be able to find a few fiverr gigs to attract traffic.

The quick answer to your question is yes, of course this can be achieved.
If you're only looking to get traffic via organic SEO, then keyword research is vital to your success.

If you research and choose lots of low comp/long-tail terms in your niche, and optimise your pages for each term, you should start to see rankings even without link building (assuming the keyword research has been done properly)

Run a few campaigns targeting a big mix of these terms and rankings should improve further.

I know this a very loose idea but targeting lots of low hanging fruit, instead of going for a handful of broad and tough comp terms should help you hit that target.

    Hope this helps
