I'm trying to find a low competition keyword in the IM niche.. I've found on clickbank marketplace a website which allows you to make money uploading videos on youtube.. They pay 75% commission to affiliates for each sale. I'm trying to find a keyword with about 5,000 global monthly searches and competition about 20,000 result pages (or even low) with quotations on the keyword. ("") for my sniper site.

I'm trying to implement the Google Sniper 2.0 course and he finds a keyword with 5,400 result pages with 11,000 search results in the weight loss niche but I've been trying to find out keyword for about 2 hours now in the make money online niche and I havn't found any with 5,000 monthly search results and about 20k competition.. all results are over 100k, 200k the least i've found was like 50k or 70k..

I don't how that guy George is able to find such a keyword.. please help me is it really possible to find such a keyword with keyword planner??? pleas help.. should i change the market and pick up another product from the market place and then do the keyword research ???

You can use a tool like WordTracker to determine the popularity and competition of specific keywords and phrases.

Frankly most keyword tools are giving you same crap that everyone else gets. People react from two basic fundamental needs- the need to seek pleasure and the need to avoid pain. Look for your own questions that will feed these needs, particularly pain avoidance. Why do people want to get into IM?
      They lost their job
They want to quit their job
      They want a better lifestyle
      They want to travel...whatever.
The best keyword tool is between your ears.

He was able to find such a keyword because that video was taken sometime back and by then those keywords were still available. The internet changes at a very fast pace and such keywords are snapped up at a rapid rate.

Can you still find profitable ones?

Yes you can. You just have to keep digging. Try tools such as Market samurai or Long Tail pro. You will find them. In some instances, you may have to make a compromise where by go for a slightly competitive keyword but invest some money in out ranking your competitors. You can find some cheap SEO Ranking services here on the forum

People type in the craziest things to find what they are looking for. I use Google Adword tools - but in the end, I often think what would people type in to get to my landing page. Sometimes, it's in a form of a question.

Thanks for the replies, I just got one question unanswered.

"Is it possible to find a keyword with 5,000 global monthly searches and around 11,000-13,000 competition ?" In other words, do these kinds of keywords still exist as of today or they are all wiped up and it's useless to keep digging?? is it possible to find a keyword TODAY like the keyword George found in 2011 or they just do not exist at all??

I guess anything is possible but I find it hard to believe there's a whole lot of keywords with 5K traffic that doesn't have competition. Why is 5K the magic number? Why not 5 keywords each with 1K traffic?

    Who's George (George Foreman)?

George, the author of Google Sniper 2.0.. I don't remember the full name. 5k is not a magic number really.. I use it because he teaches you to find a keyword around 5k traffic.. I just want to do exactly what he did. Actually he said find a keyword between 2,000 and 5,000 global monthly searches. Well, there's only gonna be one site at first focusing one keyword.. so if were to have 5 keywords with 1k traffic each, I'll have to create 5 sites for that.. right now I just wanna build one site focusing on one keyword between 2k-5k traffic. And about competition, he said go to Google.com and type in your keyword under quotations.. for examply "lose weight quickly" this has
About 632,000 results (0.21 seconds) and I need to find a keyword between 2k-5k traffic (global monthly searches) and between 11,000-13,000 results competing for that keyword in my market. I was just wondering if it was still possible to find one because a guy commented here that 2 years ago these kinds of keywords existed but not now.. If so please tell me how..

Ok, it's the ole IM affiliate product being sold on Clickbank. I haven't seen the product other than the ads but an IM affiliate product like that is most likely hyped everywhere you look on the net.

My advice is don't get hung up on another persons product. If your new to ranking pages go after the easiest keywords that have any amount of traffic you can get, just focus on relevant keywords.

Slowly back away from the keyword tools . The best keyword tool you have is sitting on your shoulders. The tip on pain/pleasure aspect is the key. Try to think of common problems people might have on making money on the Internet. And then expand to at least 3-5 words. Find a really popular search term and then add words to the front and back that seem to make sense.

Once you come up with some good keywords then go back and check the volumes and competition.

Remember that there are no rules, just guidelines. Don't get lost in the weeds and forget about the big picture. I would always take 1000 highly targeted visitors over 5,000 maybe visitors.
