what is exactly the meaning of "white hat SEO". Is it some kind of formula which will help you to enhance PR of your webpage and traffic and many more things?

  Right, which isn't seo at all, because technically, seo is a concious effort by you, doing something in one form or another to manipulate the search results in your favor, no matter how big (link buying) or small (meta tags). So in reality, there is no such thing as white hat seo. Or black hat seo. There is no spoon

  White hat SEO is the approach you ALWAYS want to take when taking care of your own or a client's SEO. Following search engine (Google, Yahoo, Bing) guidelines, not using shady or spammy techniques to falsely improve ranking (i.e. spam backlinks), having quality on-site content, etc., are all a part of white hat SEO.
  
  You may get away with using black hat SEO for a while but rest assured it won't last long. Also, the effects felt afterword when trying to fix everything will cause you a lot of grief and be a major waste of your time.
  
  Start on the straight and narrow right from the beginning and you'll be glad you did

White hat just means yo follow the exact guidelines of he search engines to rank and do not attempt to circumvent the rules via "blackhat techniques".

There is also something called "greyhat" which is of course a mixture of both. The definition is very subjective however. What one person calls whitehat another may view as blackhat, etc.

White Hat is basically 100% Compliant With the Engines Terms. Greyhat is Borderline, Whilst blackhat is clearly in violation. People feel the need to try and cheat the system as always...Thus blackhat/greyhat techniques exist.

Also guys, as just explained, Greyhat is NOT a mixture of white and blackhat techniques at all. If you have 90% Whitehat SEO Techniques, and then do something completley blackhat that google can see, you will see Googles backhand faster than you can say 'Page one' . . .

White Hat SEO is basically SEO that won't get you sandboxed by the search engines such as using scrapebox to get tons of backlinks everyday. I'm not saying that you shouldn't use scrapebox, but you have to be smart about it.

No such thing as whitehat SEO. any deliberate attempt at SEO is gray or black. anyway, labels don't mean anything. who cares if its black or white if it makes u money?

White hat SEO it is techniques to get the keyword ranked in serp by doing organic seo or always follow the search engine guild-lines.
