seobook keyword tool the best?

I've been looking at seobook's keyword tool and I am so upset that i now know why I am getting no traffic for my keywords that I am ranked first page for.
1)Is their keyword tool the best one to still go off from ? (that is still FREE)
If not what keyword tool do you use that is reliable for long term goals?
2)How accurate is it? Is it safe to believe I could get 100 hits a day if it says 120-150 searches per day? Or do these change a lot?
They keywords I rank for only have 5-10 hits a day which is really sad that I put all this work into some of my sites just for it to not matter at all because there was no traffic for those specific keywords anyways
