Sorry, my question might be dumb, but any idea when will be the next Google update? I'm especially concerned by a Penguin algorithm update: i filed a disavow tool file and I'd like that file to be taken into account and go back the right place in the ranking.
So, although I know they never disclosed this info beforehands, based on the past months or years, when could we expect a new update?
Nicolas.

I don't think any1 can say this... It's not predictable especially if it depends on Google!

Nobody knows for sure but I can already tell you that the new update won't have a positive effect on your domain and it's ranking. In fact based on what you've said I bet it will get worse with the next algorithm update. Every new update from Google is about backlink analysis. So you can bet there will be some more improvements to the way they look into links.

I also would not count on seeing anything happen from disavow. You need to remove those links you tried to disavow first and maybe then you can see a ranking recovery. You will also see a faster recovery as well because as google recrawls your links and notices the changes in your profile you will start seeing recovery.

If you plan on waiting for disavow to work you'll be waiting a very long time.

      Hi

      Thank you!

I only disavowed these links I couldn't remove or had removed - Half of yhe bad links at least were removed contacting the website administrators or removing them myself. It's not like I haven't tried

I don't know if it can get much worse, at least I'm trying to remove the links - and last Google update had for sure in mind much more bad links, so I think it should improve right - although maybe not a lot.

Anyway, I'm not only counting on disavowing my links, I have some domains in the disavow request, but I'm also trying to remove links some other way - so my profile link is defintely getting something better.

      N.
