Google Approved SEO

Hi! Was looking for some good advice on current SEO practices. It's been awhile since I've worked on getting a website to rank in the SE's.... Probably since 2010, as I've been working on some publishing opportunities. A company that I SEO'd for a years ago just contacted me and wants to hire me for ongoing SEO. Great! I'm totally out of practice! lol

My last SEO job hit before Penguin and Panda. So I'm really not knowledgeable on those updates or any other updates that have occurred since. Can anyone recommend any good material that covers the most current acceptable, white hat only, google approved SEO techniques?

I am open to WSO recommendations too but only if they are quality and don't contain any hundred dollar pie in the sky up sells.

    As Yukon eluded to, nothing has really changed as far as core SEO goes. The only area of SEO that's frequently changing is "schemes" and "tools."
