I can't find such information on Google Adsense but just wanted to know if it is OK to have a lightbox popup for an Adsense site?

Placing Google ads on a website with pop-ups

Publishers aren't permitted to place ads on sites which have more than three pop-ups. If pop-ups are displayed on a website, they may not interfere with site navigation, change user preferences, initiate downloads, or distribute viruses.

Additionally, sites with Google AdSense may not be loaded by any software that triggers pop-ups, modifies browser settings, redirects users to unwanted websites, or otherwise interferes with normal site navigation. It is your responsibility to ensure that no ad network or affiliates use such methods to direct traffic to pages that contain your AdSense code.

Thanks for highlight. That means if you monetize your sites with adsense, there's very little chance of building a list.

I've ran the Feedburner email optin pop-up for years, no problems.

Single pop-up that traffic clicked to open.

If you read the TOS excerpt, you'll see that it means you can't load your Adsense in a pop up. Not that you can't build an email list on a site that uses Adsense. Pop ups are allowed but not when they are used to load ads. Most sites that use Adsense build email lists. Be sure your ads are on a stationary spot such as above your article or in the side bar column.
