Hi Warriors,

First of all i'm no expert in SEO so accept my sorry if my question is naive.

I have a 3 month old website targeting some keywords, My main keyword is 4400 Exact match searched in Google monthly, Competition as follow :

Moz keyword difficulty tool

And it's 34 according to LTP.

Site is currently ranking first on the 2nd page of Google for that keyword dancing between #11 and #13 although i got some high PA/DA backlinks.

My anchor text distribution for my backlinks as follows :

Note that the first anchor text is the main keyword.

In the 1st page of Google for that keyword sites with few backlinks and low quality content, I have quality 1100+ word article in my home page and 20 pages.

As a SEO expert do you think my siteisn't in the 1st page of Google for that keyword cause of Anchor text over optimization ?

To be honest, Moz's keyword difficulty score is better than the other crap that is out there. I would not make any serious decisions based on it, but they at least take into account worthwhile onpage items and the quality of backlinks a page has according to their index in OSE.

Considering that other keyword tools out there just base the difficult on crap like how many listings are in the index for a particular keyword (which you have to be a complete moron if you are basing anything off of that), I give Moz's keyword tools some credit.

Like I said, I would never use a tool like this, but it is better than the other junk that is out there. All the difficulty scores on keyword tools are mostly crap. This is just the least crappy.

I would never trust anything automated to make a decision for which keywords I target, things like made up scores, etc...

Even with tough comp. at the top of the first page, I'll take a self hosted video thumbnail in the middle of the first page If I'm the only image on the search page (which draws attention to the search listing). Just depends on how strong the entire first page comp. is. Sometimes it's only the #1 or #2 comp that's actually targeting a keyword.
