This is Itai from Infolinks. The Infolinks links are not actual links in the page, but rather made to look as if they were links by changing their text color and adding the underline.

The infolinks links are not part of the page source code, but are generated after the page is loaded.

Each of these facts independently means that Google doesn't "see" the Infolinks links (which are not really links in the conventional sense), and have no bearing on Google ranking or SEO.

I am using infolinks for a year, and doesn't found any drop in Google or Bing SE. Rather it is ranking well in Goolge day by day.

I've also seen sites tank after using infolinks but infolinks ads can be fairly "in your face" and they are a competitor for Google which might make them a double "no no"

Never heard anything like this....I have been using infolinks for 3 years....no problems and making good money from the ads. Infolinks has nothing to do with google rankings....correct me if I am wrong.

Using Infolinks per se won't cause your site to be harmed SEO wise. The link ads are loaded using javascript, so like an AdSense ad pass no SEO value directly to the 'links'.

There will be a small performance hit from the javacript, but currently performance is a small part of Google's rankings. That wouldn't cause a huge drop in traffic.

What you do need to be careful of with any advertising is how diligent the ad network is at screening the sites the ads go to.

I have a jokes site that has a lot of racist jokes and so it's AdSense banned. Switched to Clicksor including their pop over ads and was seeing malware reports (from FireFox) in the pop up window.

Basically Clicksor wasn't doing due diligence on the sites the ad links went to. My joke site was seriously downgraded in Google, put 2 and 2 together, removed the Clicksor ads and within a week traffic returned. checking my logs saw multiple visits from Google IP addresses: manual checks.

Searched Google for similar information related to Infolinks and though there is malware that results in Infolinks being shown to infected users (if your PC is infected with adware) couldn't find anything to suggest Infolinks allows links to malware in their ads.

Are you sure it's Infolinks to blame, sounds like a coincidence???

Info links are good to use in SEO for earning money. It is also one of the best SEO tactics through which you can easily improve your site and can earn money.

I used infolinks for 2 weeks and there were no change in traffic trends but to myself they seemed annoying and so I stopped using them.
