Hi what is the importance of alt tag for an image in seo perspective.I am developing and photo album site so is it a must to give them all a proper alt attribute or i can avoid it.

    You did not have to specify an alt tag for your images. The alt info is shown if an image can't be shown.

    Its also good for SEO.

    Well, ALT tags are usually used for the image optimization, look search engine can't read images, it helps in the user explaining what a image is displaying.

    If your so lazy you can't be bothered with alt-tags I kinda doubt you even care about SEO. Good grief, your building an image gallery.
