what is your opinion towards free link building tools

hi guys!!

I would love to know your opinion towards free linkbuilding tools... so websites that say that they build links for you. Of course I know that nowerdays just ´links´´ wont get you far... or could even hurt your sites ranking. But if you make many ´good´ links, would a linktool like that to make some random links help, or would you rather not use any of these?

    I can't imagine that the links would be worth much at all...

    A crappy product or service by people that disappear from the forum for a long period of time to make it look like they were working on something so when they come back you will want to click on their crappy product or service link
