Adwords Individual Bids

Hey guys
I'm coming back to Adwords after 6 months and need a reminder how to do 2 things. Point me to the correct forum if this is not it. Or the right manual/article.
1. I used to get max. bids for a large group of keywords in Traffic estimator, and then... automatically downloaded all the individual bids into my ad groups at once. Forgot how to do it.
So... How do I do batch download maximum bids into Adwords Editor? (I cut and paste with Excell to do most things.)
2. Adwords editor won't let me download groups of Keywords with the 3 matching types.. ie if I download Eat tofu and Wash your socks into an ad group... it won't let me add new keywords "Eat tofu" "Wash your socks" [Eat tofu] and [Wash your socks] with the add multiple keywords function. How do I do that?
Any decent software around to manage Adwords for the budget-minded? ie $70 not $700?
