Hey Guys,

I am setting up a New Forum using SMF (Simple Machines Forums)

My URLS look like this

http://www.mydomain.com/forums/index.php?topic=6.0

Will something like this be Indexed by Google?

There is a Setting in SMF that will Supposedly convert

This

http://www.mydomain.com/forums/index.php?topic=1.0

To This:

http://www.mydomain.com/forums/topic,1.0.html

I tried it and it doesn't work

Anybody have experience with this?

Jack

Make sure your .htaccess is writable.

I have switched from SMF but if I remember you might need to rename .htaccess from something like "htaccess.txt"

Otherwise you need to use your FTP client to change the permissions.
