This is my first months of google visibility.. and since this is my first site.. I am wondering what could have been the reason that my early success just kind of reduced with 20% and almost crashed down...

I had not updated the content for a while?
or is it the competition backlinking?
or did I make wrong backlinks?

    You would have to provide much more data - types of links, sources, frequency anchortexts...

    There are so many factors in play and your question is too general.
