Can you have too many affiliate POSTS?

Hi,

I have a question that I haven't seen an answer to anywhere. Can you have too many affiliate posts/pages?

For example, let's say someone has 10 pages of content and 9 or all 10 of them have affiliate links on them. Will this hurt rankings of the overall site?

I realize having too many affiliate links on one page will hurt that page's rankings, and I know Google ranks individual pages, but still wondering if this is a factor or not.

Any input either way is appreciated. Thanks!

Some might say, its a "bad" user experience, to be choked with ads and offers. From that some may think. It's a ranking factor used by Google.

I don't think it is. But as a practice, I have no more then 20% of my site monetized. But that's just me and how I like it. Pages with the most traffic, would be the priority to monetize.

Affiliate links are not ranking factor but some people use it as natural linking in this situation it may hurt ranking. However, you should be more conscious about visitors. How will they fell if find affiliate links on each page? I think, it is not a good idea. You should avoid it.

If you have pages with 200 word articles with 2 aff links then it's bad.
If you have pages with 500-1000 words and 1 aff link, then it's very good.
Also, include some pages with no aff links at all.
