If I have a website that I am hosting in my hostgator account and I sell it, meaning I would have to point the domain to someone else's server, does that affect the backlinks that are already in place. To my understanding as long as the domain name stays the same there shouldn't be a problem, but I was also told that changing the dns might have impact.
