FB ad is it useful for a website ranking?

actually now I paying for fb ad ,

promote clicks to my homepage...budget 5 dollars per day .


I expect the clicks is less..but traffic , impression view is there..

wonder it will boast my homepage ..aid a bit on ranking too?

    I keep seeing an ad on top on here for 2.6 million pageviews for $20.

    If you want to boost alexa rankings you don't need targeted anything.

    I don't think FB ads are going to have any positive effect on your rankings, or any effect at all.

    To boost your website's ranking, you need strong relevant links with authority pointing to you website.

      I don't think FB ads are useful for ranking.

      You may get traffic only if people visit your website after visiting the FB fan page, which half of people like'ing your page don't.

    FB ads are not the one which will help you to get ranking. Of course it can help you to get starter traffic. FB ads or even Adword ads have got nothing to do with ranking.

If you want to increase your Page rank you must do some SEO/ search Engine Optimization works. it may be Forum posting, Back linking, Blogging, commenting, Article submission, bookmarking, directory submission & so on. You need to make familiar your page to search engine. Do-follow link increase both Traffic & Rank.

    Well for boosting your rankings better to get some high authority back links , do guest posts and make your PR high . Facebook ads are very good when you go for conversions and opting for getting for sales.

      I agree that Facebook ads won't do much for your rankings. I agree with Alex though that it might get you some "starter traffic". I do think that getting people to like and share your content is important and can help with rankings, although I have no idea how much.

      Getting some quality content posted targeting your keywords, and building some good pr backlinks to your site will do the most for your SE rankings.

      If you want to implement Facebook, depending on what your website is about you could start a fanpage on the same topic, trick it out a little bit and have all the content from your site automatically post to your fan page. You could then use your facebook ads to build likes and get fans. I believe the cost to get fans is cheaper than sending people to your website because your keeping them on facebook.

      Then, whenever anyone clicks on your article's or pictures they will go to your website.
