To increase website contents

Hello,

I have a question about how to increase website contents.
I have a website and want to increase the volume of contents to get hit keywords. What I did this to increase them is to increase blog to write and to update regularly, which is linking to my website. I am using free blog like wordpress.

Am I heading to right directions to increase website contents? If not, please give example?

    If you mean you're blogging on WordPress.com and linking to your own site, that's probably not very effective. You'd need backlinks for the blog too. Why not have the blog under your money site? That way you'd benefit from possible hits directly.
