I don't like the fact you have to pay when you're at page 2/3 as pricing is locked for 6 months, so you could be stuck at page 2/3 for all that time, pay and not get any traffic.

Sure it's free till you reach position 30 but that's just as good as position 200

Why you start out with thinking that it's a scam?

For what I know 99% of the SEO companies do what you pay them for, same like any other business online or offline.

Sure some blast the most crappy links but you can always inform on forehand.

They don't tell you what they're going to do which is a bit of a worry to me. However, I know a local company that operates on very similar pricing principle.
    Signature
Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

Not a scam in my opinion, it's just their policy. There are some other company that has similar policy. It's entirely up to you to use it or not. I suggest to switch if you don't like it though.

I don't know if this company is legit or not but I like their marketing tactic where you don't pay unless you rank. That's fine and all but what happens if you rank then get slapped because of poor SEO techniques.

You are better off learning the game yourself rather than putting it into the hands of someone else. I personally feel that no one is going to be able to deliver a cost effective solution of what it takes to get you to rank long term like you will if you study the game. Invest in your own network rather than having some company put links on their spammy public network. I'm not saying that's what these guys do but it's what a lot of people do. It's similar to the rent vs buy debate. I will always go for owning my own home and building equity rather than spinning my wheels renting.

No disrespect to rankpay.com. I haven't looked at their services. I'm making some generalized statements about the industry as a whole.

Only problem is that you start paying from position 30, who knows you get stuck there forever and thus zero traffic.

I don't understand why anyone would spend $149 for page #2 in the SERPs. Might as well be page #50.

Exactly, if you offer a service based on pay for results then start to charge from page one or don't use that concept at all.

Personally I don't like the whole pay for results concept, you always get clients that want to rank for impossible keywords, sure you can define your own terms, like the SEO decides on kw research, but then it's already a lot less attractive for the clients.

I once offered it on this forum for a while, had a handful of quote requests, never got any response back, is $1000,- really that much to ask for moderate competitive keywords. I don't think so.

I used a fake URL (zero competition) to get a price quote to rank the fake domain keyword, here's the quote:

    Price/Google SERP position:
    • Free (30+)
    • $74 (30-21)
    • $149 (20-11)
    • $223 (10-7)
    • $297 (6-4)
    • $372 (Top 3)

Looks like it would cost $372 to rank a keyword with zero traffic.

It's a script, so they just have some minimum prices.

I know, looks like their script needs some work.

TBH I would rather pay for SEO to some highly reputed seller on this or other forum rather than some SEO agency as I saw too many bad things about them so far and I don't trust them at all.

Rankpay looks like it can be some scheme like other said as well, who knows.
