Well i made some banners for free screensavers, and i thought...hmm...i use some bikini girls and big letters.

I dont want to put the picture in here, but you can see the banner on my NITRO RSS - TOP NEWS and HEADLINES

It features two bikini girls and NO nudity.

I put it on Google Content network as an experiment - and of course it was disapproved. Is the banner "too" raunchy? Its clear to me that nudity is a big no-no - but disapproving bikini girls seems a little prude to me.

Come on! If you like it, fine - but google doesn't see two bikini clad girls.

Google sees "news", "yankees", and suggestive "bikini butts" with the word "sexy" prominently displayed.

LOL - was the experiment seeing how close to the line you could get?

lol..kind of. I might invite you over here to Germany, and then watch whats going on on nightly television. (Ringtone/Porn Ads). I think 99% of all americans would drop their jaws. I still consider the bikini girls "tame"...i just hoped they would get approved for ultra high CTR

Yeah, but it's on the boarder line of porn, that's the first impression i got and it's against the TOS of adwords.

also, USA peeps from what I have gathered, are more reserved than us Europeans when it comes to our bodies... USA peeps are prominently Catholics as well and they don't really like that stuff being flaunted around... not all mind you, but here in North Carolina, if you replaced every UK corner store with a church, that's what you'd see in N.C

I think it's the Baptists you gotta watch out for with this stuff

Thing is - if you are targeting US market and using US advertising, you must cater to the "tastes" of that market. You know that.

yup, but it has to be on Adwords terms though.
