I have a thin review site that I want to beef up and hopefully drive more sales from increased traffic. However, the site's niche is in the health niche - more specifically medical. So it is extremely hard to find keywords that arent dominated in SERPs by webmd type sites.

I have found very few keywords so far that are low comp.

I have little experience beefing up sites in big markets. So I am wondering if you should always find a good keyword for each new article you publish; or if you can get away with just writing some articles on the fly, on the hopes that some of the LSI terms eventually get picked up in google somewhere?

I find it hard to believe people who outsource hundreds of articles have keywords set for each and every one.

Find long tail keywords that is relevant to your niche. Create content based from the keyword and publish it in your site. As of the LSI keywords, you can use it around your content or inside your site. But it is good use for building backlinks if you submit articles to other web properties.

I would suggest that you write content naturally based on topics that are of interest to your potential readers. If you write naturally, the keyword research will take care of it's self.

Remember, even big name sites such as WebMD started somewhere. Why limit yourself? If you're serious about your business, you should not discount any keyword or niche based on competition. I'm not saying that you will outgrow WebMD and I'm not saying that you can't. What I'm saying is that it is more than possible to build your website to become a major source of reliable information without wasting time searching for low comp keywords.

Leave that kind of thinking to the small timers that are looking for small time results. More competition means more opportunity and more money to be made. Just something to maybe think about.

      I wish you much success,
