Yes, it is Google Dance. Google uses more than 200 factors to rank a website. Backlinks play great role in ranking. You should increase backlinks from Good and same subject websites to get high rank in SERP.

That's normal... It's called Google Dance effect. As other people are also working on their websites and trying to make a better SEO, then they could outrank you today, but you can be better in SEO tomorrow, etc.

It might be Google dance, but it could be just another user who doesn't realize that Google is personalizing the search results. OP, have you tried with incognito / private browser window?

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

Most results beyond the first page of Google are usually subject to random fluctuations in SERPs results.

I noticed you say exchanging links. Make sure it's with some website which is high quality and highly relevant to yours, otherwise you may harm your website SEO.

    Hi,

At first when your site gets live google mark your website as the new one with new content and after that it will deeply analyse your site like the backlinks which you have so if you place quality backlinks you will see good results.

Did you logon into your Gmail Account? Your rankings will dance if you logon into your account and when you logout. See to it that you are not logon and delete your cookies. For this I usually check my rankings via Google Chrome Incognito.

  • What you are witnessing is the Google Dance. This is a shift/fluctuation of rankings that occurs (especially following backlink building). It is normal and to be expected, and your rankings will eventually stabilize. In the meantime, it is important to make sure that your site is well optimized for your targeted keyword, add quality and unique content, and build high quality backlinks.

Welcome to the world of SEO!

This is pretty standard for new websites, as you begin to gain more links and credibility rankings will begin to stabilize.
