Adwords Quality Score Nightmare

Google decided to suddenly raise my minimums AGAIN. I was getting a 2.7% CTR and my conversion was 5.3%. The pages are extremely relevant to long tail keywords where I am the only advertiser.

Anyone else being squeezed?

    Hi seobro,

Google now has a feature that helps you discover what is causing your Quality Score issues. Use this tool to zero in on the cause and fix it.

Chances are you will be able to achieve even lower bids than before the Google slap. Fixing the quality score issues will improve results for your campaign while lowing your CPC at the same time.

In your AdWords account, does it say "First Page Bid" or "Minimum Bid"?

Supposedly, we'll all be seeing that change as their new QS rolls out. So far, mine hasn't switched and I haven't seen any real changes in QS for my campaigns yet (at least not ones that I'm not twiddling with).

Congratulations on the 2.7% ctr and 5% conversion rate, that's impressive!

Verify that tool, but keep in mind that sometimes Google has hiccups as well, on Webmastersworld there was a fairly long discussion. There was a major advertiser
who noticed how the Min. bid went sky high for no reason (where as nothing
has changed). After trying to figure it out on his own, he called his rep. and told him
to look into it, because it does not seem right.

After the call the prices went down again...

      Go figure
