    Hi alice,

Starting off, you need to make sure you do your keyword research before you even think about getting your content together. there is no point in writing articles based on keywords that no one is searching for.

When you post your content, on page SEO factors will come into play.

I take you will know what these are from your sig?

Keyword in title tag, good description, H1 tags and keyword density are all important. Interlinking between articles is a good way to share link love.

Thats what I usually do for a new website.

Keep Content RelevantArtistic license may be acceptable in some situations, but when it comes to creating website copy, sometimes keeping on topic is best.

    Quality
If you're trying to project a professional image, the last thing you want is for glaring types and grammatical errors to creep in and undermine your work. Of course, we're not all the most proficient writers; but if you are going to produce your own copy, always bear in mind that any sloppiness will reflect directly on you and your site. It doesn't need to be the best literature ever produced, by basic quality standards need to be adhered to.

    Define Keywords
When using search engines, we tend to type in a few words and select a site based on the results - ordinarily from the front page. In order for your site to attract search engine users, it has to be competitive and include relevant keywords throughout. In order for this to be effective it is often best to outline keywords for certain pages or sections before starting, then working them in accordingly throughout.

    Balance Your Keyword Usage
Once upon a time you could literally fill dozens of pages with keywords and phrases, guaranteeing the top position in any search engine. Today things are very different indeed. Search engines are a far more complex beast, with intelligent algorithms determining which sites are credible and which aren't. By all means use your keywords and phrases to target those searches, just don't go overboard as not only will it upset the flow of your copy, but it may also see your site plummet in the rankings.

Adding to the great advice above I would also suggest that you do your promotion quiet slowly at the start if your website is new?

Google knows how old the site is and will expect only a small numer of backlinks early on.

So don't rush things, I know it can be tempting to build hundreds very quickly but that could only hurt your position so keep backlinks low to begin with.

Also how other sites in your niche have done their promotion will directly influence where Google positions you when it compares your promotion methods, so if you can try to stay in line with what others are doing and don't exceed their backlinking rate too soon.

This happened to me with one of my most important sites. I had strong content and design but made the mistake of linking to it very aggressively in the beginning. Google had it on page 11 to 18 for practically 8 months or so. I couldn't figure out why it didn't like the site. It was very discouraging. I just left it alone for awhile and then came back to it and worked it gradually. It's now on the first page and steadily climbing.

For each keyword you need to create and write a underside and write an unique text of 250 words.

Yup, what neslo ^ said. But, 250 words is a little much, I am for 100 words and I get the same results, at least I think so. I was writing 300 words, now I write 100 words. Just make sure you get good keywords.
