How to maintain position in search engine

Some of my posts rank at 1st or 2nd or 3rd position in google search. Then they start loosing their position albeit slowly.

I know they have unique excellent contents and the pages gaining ranks are no way better than mine, still I keep loosing my posts' positions.

I don't have a solution to maintain serps of my posts.

    Build additional relevant internal pages on the same domain, point strong external backlinks at the internal supporting pages, then pass that authority through internal keyword anchor-text links to the money page.

    Link flow:
    • External link > internal supporting page > money page (same domain)

    This way your building up some base authority on the same domain where your money page is located. You'll also stand a better chance at ranking 2-3 pages per keyword.

      Definitely do what Yukon suggested. It's a great long term strategy for turning your site into an authority. Then you just start ranking for anything you throw up on the site, thats within your topic.

      A couple of other things I might add that will help you keep your standings:

      1) Make a social presence: G+, FB, YT, Twitter and link them back to your site.
      2) Send out some social signals each week.
      3) Keep adding backlinks. Its likely that the sites linking to you are experiencing link loss themselves. You're going to have to get more backlinks to balance this out.

    Generate more and more backlink from social bookmarking and directory posting.
    Share those blog or article on social media frequently.
    Write unique title and description for blog or article while you do posting or bookmarking.

    Follow Yukon's advice above. Also, remember that you must continuously build backlinks to your posts to maintain their positions in the SERPs. This is because the sites that are currently backlinking to them may have switched the backlinks to nofollow. This would explain a drop in ranking. Also, webmasters can delete backlinks at any time, so it is good to have a constant flow of links.
