Seo takes work, either you do it on your own or pay someone to do it.

What do you know about SEO ?

Have you read any books on SEO ?

Have you thought about getting paying for a SEO Coach or SEO Consultant to advice you professionally ?

I bought courses, read seo books, then hired a Seo Coach when I first came online 5 years ago which helped me tremendously.

What I am saying, is educate yourself with SEO, if you haven't already, or sign up for a coaching membership site like Online SEO Training Program & Community : SEO Book.com but there is a price for it.

Go Moz: Inbound Marketing and SEO Software, Made Easy I learned a lot from them as well, a lot of free stuff there that will help you ?

Pick up some free SEO ebooks and buy a used one on amazon !

If you understand seo then, you will look at everything around you from a different eye, and will help you work towards getting that traffic.

SEO .......is not the only way to get traffic, so find ways to drive traffic to those videos, you are thinking only SEO, think outside of the box as well .....!

I've personally ranked many YouTube Videos. I've done if for myself and clients. Before you could just blast the videos with a bunch of spammy links and they would rank. Now it seems YouTube vids can be penalized. Now I basically Rank my videos the same way I rank my websites. I focus on Relevant High PR Links.

There are tons of videos online to optimize your YouTube video but for me, I usually do the normal on-page SEO for my YouTube page like:

*using my target keyword or brand name in my title or within the description
*attaching my link within the description or I also put my link within my video (usually after the video presentation), with a really good call to action at the last part
*Putting my social media pages too helps

Also, yes it is very important to share your YouTube videos on your social media accounts to gain more views, likes and subscribers.

Optimizing your YouTube pages is really easy. What I suggest is for you to instead learn how to make a viral video. This will definitely help you get more views in time.

Ranking youtube vids is the same as ranking any other page, you need a keyword optimized page (title, tags, description) and lot's of quality links, but what's also important in ranking youtube vids these days is actually having a quality video (funny that), since google are now measuring engagement as a strong measure of quality, so the more of your video every viewer watches the higher it will rank..

1) Have video file titled same as the keywords you want to rank for (for e.g. "how to perform a push up.mp4" for ranking "how to perform a push up"

2) Send initial views (either through a service, or you could initially just refresh until you hit 301+)

3) Send initial likes & comments by both other users and yourself replying them (either through a service or by getting your friends initially)

4) Backlink to it from relevant and high quality / high PR sites

5) Your video will start ranking, and get more organic views. That will help you break past 301+ views and soon you would be ranking and getting lots of views

P.S. That's if you target low-moderate competition keywords/phrases. If you want high competition, you need 2 more things:
- Multiplying of the above stated efforts
- More time

Online videos have turn into a very helpful method for sharing information. Now a day’s YouTube is the second-largest search engine after Google, but it is also important social networking sites. Putting your video on various locations on the web with the same tags is also very important for SEO. That also helps you target customers in different locations.

Youtube SEO is really easy, I've done it million times, here is what you only need:

ONPAGE
- Keyword in title, first thing in description, few more times in description and in tags
- You can also name your vid like your keyword.

OFFPAGE
- 10k blog comments
- 1k social bookmarks
- 3-4 high PR links from a PBN

Ranked.
(note: some people just blast the vid heavily with GSA SER, it works just as well)

One note: views/likes/comments/favorites has nothing to do with ranking a Youtube video on Google. You can rank a vid with zero views the same way. This being said, I usually send 5k high retention views as well just because is cheap and it often ranks on Youtube due to this.

Youtube is no.1 video site you can use it seo for video optimization.
Just create your channel.
Post video.
Add tags
write a nice title to it (you can add keyword in it)
write a description
and add your site link in description( youtube give back link on url, it will helpful in seo , back ink from a p9 pr site.
Promote your video.
increase channels follower or subscriber.

Just like working on a normal website's SEO! Nothing so much different. Pay attention to the title. Write it good, make it readable and interesting for PEOPLE! Good description, don't just place your keywords, make it be eye-catching for your visitors!

Haven't used them in a while Ethan. Would recommend sharing your videos in Google+ groups(where they allow it) because you'll be getting social signals back to your videos as well.

Use Circlecount(dot)com to find Google Circles specific to the niche you're in.

You should focus on three things:

1. Keywords research.

2. On-page SEO.

3. Off-page SEO.

One of the most important factors for ranking a video is channel authority. You can increase your channel's authority by commenting on high PR YouTube channels and by getting your channel featured by other channels with high page rank.

Similar to website SEO!

The main differences/additional things you should perform:
1) Name your video title the same as the name you want to appear for that video on YouTube
2) Add in all the appropriate tags
3) Improve viewer retention rate and time on your video by making
- your video at least 3 - 5 minutes
- improving the quality of your video content
4) Get likes
5) Get subscribers
6) Interlink your relevant videos
7) If possible, get other users to link to your video as well (make sure it's relevant)

And most importantly, do not target a super high competition keyword phrase and expect to rank overnight
