Allintitle Values

I don't think anyone's done the research to know what the perfect number to go for or even percentage because there are just way too many niches to go after. However, I do tend to believe that as long as the "allintitle" or just "intitle" (same thing) results are below 5,000 you have a good chance at ranking in the first page - with due diligence of course.

To go for easy stuff, try to stick with keywords with less than 3,000 results though. If you can rank for 10 easy keywords and get 5,000 searches, it beats the hell out of trying to go for a keyword that has 50,000 searches but you don't rank for it at all. Take care of the easy ones and the harder ones will become easier when the time comes.

I guess 4,000,000 results on an intitle keyword is going to be a little tough eh?

I have made it to page 5 after a lengthy battle though.
Only 4 pages more to go....
I imagine that these last 4 pages are probably going to be a bit tougher than the first 299,000,000 were?..... :confused:

I also imagine once I do reach page 1 the battle just begins to keep the placement.

Yeah, good luck with that one, lol. My strategy for such a feat would be to utilize a lot of press release sites. Of course, using the whole web 2.0 properties will help, but it depends on how much your competition is utilizing. Some markets will be easy to tap into even if there are hundreds of thousands and millions of resulting pages. You just gotta find it.

It might not be so bad, I only need about another 1 million backlinks to match the top competitor.

I was involved in the online gambling industry for many years and enjoyed the challenge. After the sale of Gambling.com I decided to take up a new challenge. I certainly picked a handful....

My mistake was I let the SEO slip when I had 200,000 products on Google Base and after they decided they didn't like me selling used games from other vendors (like Ebay does) they gave me the boot. So I had to scramble to bring my long tail phrases up to grade to keep sales up while working on my main keywords.

So I lost over a year of SEO out of neglect. Regretfully I didn't even set up SEO friendly URLs or put much of anything into SEO as business was bountiful. Live and learn I guess..
With my upcoming design all of the onsite should be fixed and I'll 301 redirect to the new pages.

I think the one advantage I may have is that my main competitors are now the Branded top dogs. And most of these guys seem to think they are safe and do not bother much with Optimization. So I am hoping to sneak in through the door when no one is looking.
