Google Droped My Ranking Yesterday

My ranking was dropped yesterday and my major keywords were on 2nd page of Google. Have anyone else faced this problem also? I checked there is no google updated rolled out yesterday. My home page is out and not showing in even 300 but my internal page is still there and showing the rankings where it was yesterday. What can be the possible reason? is it a fluctuation? or any other thing happened? I check all my pages are indexed and are being crawled frequently. Moreover I checked all my backlinks it is coming through all relevant, high PR and natural sources.

Your website's drop in rankings is completely normal and to be expected, and is just due to the Google Dance. Please note that a site's rankings will Always shift and fluctuate during and after the time period in which backlinks have been built.
The Google Dance is normal and temporary; it is not a penalty. It happens to all sites (especially during the time period in which backlinks are being built and indexed by Google), and the pages will be back up.

The Google Dance is normal and temporary; it is not a penalty. Yes. It is a reward for building crappy backlinks. It happens to all sites that use crappy backlinks (especially during the time period in which backlinks are being built and indexed by Google), and the pages will be back up. Or not.
          Fixed it for you.

Sorry, but there is nothing "normal" about going from the top 20 to outside the top 300.

This happens from time to time, sometimes it will be like this for a couple of months, it doesn't mean you did something wrong.

For instance I was ranked of course #1 for Planetarybargains.com for years, but last week I was below #300 rank on my own url for a couple of days then back to #1.

My suggestion is to give it a couple of months before you make any changes, unless Google Webmaster tools has a warning for you, maintain your course.

Yes I have been doing backlinking and didn't change anything with site.
Careful with "backlinking". Garbage links from garbage sources, might just flag your website as garbage.

Sometimes it is the site that backlinked to you that was devalued, rather than your own website. You lose that linkjuice, but that doesn't mean you were penalized.

This happens to a lot of people. My previous site had a huge rank drop and I went down so much on Google, but I was back to #1 within a few weeks of not doing anything.

Looks like we had a new penguin update yesterday, to early to say for sure but looks like it hit sites with over optimized anchor text back links, could be the reason for your sudden drop.

    Dear All Pro SEOs,

Same problem is here with me, I am running website ContentWritings.com and I have lost my Keyword Ranking, so is there any Professional SEO who can guide or provide some solid seo solution to get better rank on Google Search Engine.

Recently I have update and wrote fresh Content for My Website and re-optimized all pages included Meta Title, Description, Image Optimization and Heading Tag, also I have speed-up my website, but still no Keyword Ranking.

My main Keywords is Content Writings which is 100% similar to my Domain ContentWritings.com

Please review my website and advise me, I will be very thank full to you.

You have spammed the life out of your backlinks. You have too many and I bet you don't even need that many to rank if you did the on-page and off-page properly.

I think your competitors are making more quality link than you for this reason they get up rank to you.

Think it's a Penguin hit, especially if you say that you've been building backlinks recently. You say that you've checked them out. I suggest asking an expert to take a look at them as well, before it gets even worse.

Now, keep in my mind that it's not only about quality, it's also about how you build them. If you build them too fast, you can get hit. You also need to keep a ratio; you need nofollow links as well. For one dofollow backlink built, you should have 2-3 nofollow. If you build backlinks slowly, and you have a good nofollow-dofollow ratio, search engines won't think that you went into a link building frenzy.

In the future, I suggest that you stop building backlinks if you are on the first page. You can only do harm. Let them come naturally from there.

I thorougly checked there is not penguin updated rolled out and when update comes they hit most of the sites. I checked those people who still spam are sustained. My link building is always mixture of nofollow and dofollow and mixture of anchored, URL, Phrases and broad links.

And ranking of one of my internal page is still sustained as I mentioned in my earlier. So if penguin hit the site it hits your entire sites not the pages.

      My site got hit hard.

      Homepage authority of 40%
      Domain authority of 65%

Still dropped from position 2 to about position 12 for my main keyword.

Linkprofile is only about 20% main keyword (that actually might be high). Waiting to do some checks on some of my first tier backlinks, I think that they got hit hard, their domain/page authority dropped which dropped the amount of link juice I was getting.

That makes the only sense - nothing spammy about the way I backlink. Over 7k FB likes and 3k Twitter shares on hompage too (100% natural, none paid).

So something definitely went down a few days ago.

DA/PA has NOTHING to do with Google.

Even if they did, Moz is nowhere near as fast to update anything as Google is.

That being said, Barry "I just report stuff I see on forums as news" has indicated there has been some big changes.

From one of his quoted sources:

"i did a small analysis.. i used two of my sites and ranked purely with GSA and 10 articles scraped and smashed one was used. it got hit.

for my one another site i used 5 unique articles, spun with wordai, smashed as 1 articles with GSA.. it got hit but only 4-9 position drops.. not like first one..

so its getting clear that its penguin 3.0"
Well from that analysis I can say, without a doubt, it's clearly penguin 3.0!

Technically it was announced yesterday, but lots of webmasters have been complaining about changes in keyword ranking since Friday. There was even a kind of panic among some BHW guys

    It was no update.

I just launched 290 pages for that very same keyword, and now all mine are simply outranking yours.

There is definitely a change going on. The top ten SERP results 3 days ago are not the same as of today across several industries that I monitor.

I would say there's a 20 to 40% change in the top ten results. From what I can tell Google is rewarding bigger, more authoritative sites. I've seen some thinner affiliates dissappear and some larger affiliate site reappear in the top ten.

I got hammered. One more spot and I was heading for page 1 on google. Now I can't even find my site on there for main keyword. Everthing I've done has been white hat. All original unique content. Professional site absolutely hammered. Webmasters is still showing it ranking for the main keyword tho whic is weird. No manual spam message or anything. Not good. Been cranking on this site since last fall and was finally about to crack 1st page of google.

One of my sites went from just outside the top 20 to unlisted via serpfox (not sure how far they go out).

Content was copied and pasted from another site that I own. Sort of a test. It did well until now. Thing is, the site started getting hit back on May 14th-15th.
